DES MOINES (AP) -- "Green Eggs and Ham" is joining the butter cow at the Iowa State Fair this year. Butter sculptor Sarah Pratt will salute the 50th anniversary of the beloved children's book by Dr. Seuss, which was published in 1960. Pratt is still working out the details of the design.

Since the publication of this New York Times story about E. coli in processed ground beef, I've been fielding questions about food safety. The problem: Commercial burgers aren't made from single cuts of meat. Instead, the meat in burgers comes from several sources, including slaughterhouse trimmings and scraps. topiaries – Today we saw in Zynga FarmVille the introduction of Topiaries. They are little shrubs "cut" in certain forms. 6 are currently available and the total set will consist of 13 topiaries. The cow, the pig and the duck are really cheaply priced. So… I saw a lot of green ducks, pigs and cows on my frontpage meaning a lot of selling of these new items. The Sheep, the Llama and the Flamingo however are more expensive and will probably mean a good revenue
