Early risers spot green fireball over Central Md. Reports are beginning to arrive about what sounds like a rather spectacular fireball meteor over Central Maryland just before dawn Monday morning.

Nature’s first green is gold, Her hardest hue to hold. Her early leaf’s a flower; But only so an hour. Then leaf subsides to leaf. So Eden sank to grief, So dawn goes down to day. Nothing gold can stay. - Robert Frost I know this poem isn’t about Autumn but I can’t help but think of it as I see the leaves change. It was overcast on Friday and the bright green to yellow hues everywhere really stood out on such a grey day.

NASA tossed two spacecraft into the moon’s south pole early this morning. Instruments confirm that a large empty rocket hull slammed into the moon’s surface at 7:31 a.m., followed four minutes later by a probe with cameras taking pictures of the first crash. Unfortunately, the live splash NASA had hoped for didn’t happen. NASA officials said their instruments were working, but the planned live photos were missing.
