Look at that beautiful Black family! The White House Photo Office released this official familiy portrait of President Barack Obama , First Lady Michelle Obama and their young daughters Sasha and Malia Friday (Oct 23). This photograph was taken in the Green Room of the White House on September 1st 2009 by famed celebrity photographer Annie Leibovitz .

Usually my Monday Dreaming posts are all about words, but for a change today I thought I’d focus on a dreamy photograph instead. I’ve been saving this one up; I took it on an atypically hot day at the Waitsfield Farmers Market in August. There are many things I love about this picture: The poetry created by the signs, the mud on the pick-up truck, the completely unselfconscious way this older woman lets her blouse slide down her tan shoulders.
